Internet of Things (IoT) is a pervasive technology and technically an extension of the Internet worldwide. It has made progressive transformations in human life by crafting the exchange of information tranquil. The fast growth of the IoT has bought a race among cyber-criminals and security professionals, as billions of devices can communicate subsequently the chances of leakage of sensitive information prevail. Hence, solidifying IoT's security and conserving customers' confidentiality is a key challenge in IoT environment. Solitude, genuineness, and reliability are security facilities crucial for surety of security and individual privacy. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive study of various issues of security and privacy in the context of IoT. The detail of major security as well as privacy matters and possible resolving strategies as extracted from pre-existing the research work is given by emphasizing the prime research challenges and some of the prevailing solutions with their future scope.
