Survey regarding the way students perceive security permissions of mobile applications
Roxana Lorint, Marius Marcu · 2019
In the last decades the technology had made an enormous progress, but at the same time the risks have grown to. Every time a mobile application is about to be installed, the user is being informed about the permissions the application needs to have access to, in order for it to be installed. The permission system is intended to inform the user about the risk of installing applications. In this study, we are focusing on students and we are interested in seeing if they understand what those permissions are, if they take them into account and what they do when they spot the risk. We aim to understand on what do they base their decision when they have on one side the risks and on the other side the benefits.
