A review of automated vehicle systems

Nowadays the automation of road vehicles and transport is an issue to be solved by the reason of the new requirements of society. Today developments are focused on more comfortable driving, lower fuel consumption and higher traffic safety. The main purpose to reach the higher level of automation of vehicles as well as the safer and environmental friendlier road transport.In automated vehicles the embedded software does complex controlling functions. One of the most important driving units in automated vehicles are the environment perception, path calculating and decision-making systems. This paper aims to clear abovementioned notions and describe the possibilities, pros, contras and aspects.
