Open Targets: identifying drug targets in a pre-competitive framework
Denise Carvalho‐Silva · 2020
In this talk, I introduce Open Targets, a public-private partnership to expedite drug target identification and prioritisation for reduced attrition rates in drug discovery. I then focus on one of the open source and open access products created by Open Targets, namely the Open Targets Platform and highlight some of its use cases. I conclude my talk with two examples of experimental work carried out by Open Targets in oncology and diseases of the immune system.
