POTENTIAL OF APPLICATION OF VIRTUAL ROBOTICS IN EDUCATION

Among the modern areas of improving the competencies of schoolchildren, ICT competencies in particular, robotics is one of the most promising and top-demanded among students. Educational robotics allows developing innovative ideas, partnerships, critical and analytical thinking. The possibilities of developing design and modeling skills are particularly relevant. This article discusses the most common robotic platforms designed for virtual creation and programming of robot simulators. It compares and analyzes the given platforms. The advantages and disadvantages, as well as the potential of their use in education are highlighted, their hardware component is evaluated, the scope of each most effective platform in the field of robotics is considered.
