The Impact of English Language on Non-Native English Speaking Students' Performance in Programming Class

The study focuses on investigating the impact of English on Non-native English speaking students' performance in computer programming class. Four related factors will be examined including English proficiency, knowledge of English computer terminology, understanding of English-based programming language keywords and the level of foreign language anxiety. Then, the study will apply machine learning techniques to identify students who are struggling in the programming class because of English language barriers.
