A novel TR (transmit/receive) switch utilizing a distributed amplifier

The operation of a large signal class B distributed amplifier as a narrowband transmit/receive switch is described. A four stage MESFET distributed amplifier with more than /minus/30 dB of directivity over a 12 percent bandwidth with a center frequency at X-band is presented. 3 refs., 6 figs.
