Objective To explore the advantages and disadvantages of series and paraltel connection modes of hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion. Methods A total of 104 cases of hemodialysis patients were treated by self control, and the time consumption, heat source reaction, extracorporeal circulation and occupational exposure risk of nurses were compared between series method and parallel method in hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion. Results The installation time of the parallel method was significantly higher than that of the series method (P 0.05). Conclusion For hemodialysis combined with hemodialysis, the parallel method can reduce the treatment interruption time, reduce the risk of infection and nurse's occupational exposure. The only drawback is that the pipe installation process is longer than the series method, but it does not affect the total operation time. Therefore, the parallel method is recommended for comprehensive consideration. Key words: Hemodialysis; Hemoperfusion; Connection mode
