Effects of nursing intervention for the prevention of low-temperature to elderly patientswith hip fracture

Objective To explore the effects of nursing intervention for the prevention of lowtemperature to elderly patients with hip fracture and improve the quality of care after surgery.Methods 200 cases were randomly divided into intervention and control group with 100 patients in each group.Control group used routine perioperative care,while intervention group received care based on the ambient temperature with initiative regular strict body warm,focus on care and operation,strict control of fluid input speed,the use of heated liquid,inhalation of gas heating and humidification,the implementation of individualized psychological intervention and guidance to nursing intervention knowledge,the vital signs of blood pressure,body temperature,blood oxygen saturation degrees of two groups were recorded,and the occurring time of the cold,chills and other symptoms were observed and compared.Results Postoperative hypothermia and cold,chills and other symptoms of incidence in intervention group were significantly lower than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05)Conclusion Comprehensive warm care nursing intervention implementation to elderly patients with hip fracture surgery is effective in preventing postoperative hypothermia and effectively reduce postoperative cold,chills and other symptoms incidence.
