Objective To study the correlation between hemoglobin variability and the incidence of thrombotic diseases in end stage renal disease (ESRD) maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods From February to July in 2013, 172 maintenance hemodialysis patients with ESRD were selected as observation objects, and were divided into two groups according to the incidence of thrombotic disease, and the hemoglobin variability, hemoglobin amplitude, and hemoglobin variation was compared. Results There was significant differences between the two groups in intercept, slope, the residual standard deviation based on linear regression parameters (P<0.05). Continuous measurement of changes in individual hemoglobin level, hemoglobin amplitude was bigger, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Hemoglobin variability is closely correlated with the incidence of thrombotic diseases in ESRD patients.
