Effect analysis of ESPCS nursing in clinical nursing for coronary heart disease

Objective To explore the application effect of Explain-Simulate-Practice-Communication-Support (ESPCS) nursing service in clinical nursing for coronary heart disease, evaluate its impact on quality of life and self-management ability of patients. Methods 90 patients with coronary heart disease were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given ESPCS nursing on the basis of the control group. The nursing effect of the two groups were observed. Results After the intervention, the scores of physical function, social function, bodily pain, mental health, and general health of SF-36 scale of the observation group [(92.7±8.1), (89.7±8.0), (88.5±6.1), (94.3±6.5), (88.9±6.4)] were significantly higher than those of the control group [(77.5±6.4), (76.4±5.6), (72.3±4.7), (76.5±5.4), (72.4±5.4)], with statistically significant differences (P<0.05); the scores of symptom management, cognitive emotion management, emergency management, and compliance management of CSMS scale of the observation group [(15.7±4.9), (22.3±3.7), (16.7±3.5), (15.4±2.8)] were significantly higher than those of the control group [(11.3±3.4), (17.0±2.6), (12.3±2.1), (11.7±1.6)], with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion ESPCS nursing can improve the quality of life and self-management ability of patients with coronary heart disease, with remarkable application effect, and is worth popularizing.
