Objective To explore the nursing effect of the holistic nursing for Acute Myocardial Infarction(AMI) in patients with Intra-Aortic Ballon Counterpulsation(IABP) aided by Percutaneous Coronary Interention (PCI). Methods A total of 50 AMI patients who underwent IABP-assisted PCI in the hospital from January 2015 to November 2017 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 25 patients in each group.Patients in the control group received routine nursing intervention, while those in the observation group received holistic nursing intervention. The nursing effect and the quality of life index score before and after nursing were compared between the two groups. Results The total efficiency of nursing in observation group(92.00%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(64.00%), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence of lower extremity ischemia, hemorrhage, balloon rupture, aortic dissection and arterial tear perforation in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The scores of self-care ability, physical condition, mental health and social function were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Holistic nursing can improve the total effective rate of nursing and quality of life of patients with IABP-assisted AMI for PCI, which deserves clinical promotion.
