Objective To investigate the effect of the application of fast track surgery (FTS) concept to super-minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy (SMP). Methods Perioperative nursing measures data of 120 patients with urolithiasis who underwent SMP from March 2013 to March 2016 were analyzed. All the patients were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group were treated by FTS nursing, while the control group were given traditional nursing.Parameters of patients from two groups, including satisfaction for the preoperative visit, anxiety after visit, postoperative complication rate, and length of stay were compared. Results The satisfaction for the preoperative visit of treatment group was obviously better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Anxiety after visit of the treatment groups was significantly less than that of the control group (P<0.01). Compared with the control group, the complications rate of the treatment group was lower (P<0.05) and the length of stay was shorter than that of the treatment group (P<0.01). Conclusions The nursing model guided by the concept of FTS can promote the recovery of patients treated with percutaneous nephrolithotomy and the effect is remarkable.
