Objective To study the influence of nursing interventions under the guidance of 6s management mode on patients with brain stem hemorrhage .Methods Totals of 42 cases of brain stem hemorrhage patients received by local hospital from January 2012 to June 2013 were enrolled. The routine nursing group was given routine brain stem hemorrhage care , while the intervention group was given nursing intervention measures under the guidance of the 6s management mode. The complication rate, hospitalization time in ICU, expenses of hospitalization in ICU , re-intubation rate, incidence of infecting ventilator-associated pneumonia ,invasive ventilation time , adverse events occurrence rate and the patient ’ s family ’ s satisfaction of nursing were compared between groups .Results In the intervention group, the complication rate was 0.00%;the average hospitalization time was (10.31 ±3.28)days in the ICU;the average expenses of hospitalization time in ICU was (2 2261.64 ±568.71) RMB, the re-intubation rate was 0.00%, invasive ventilation time was (8.12 ±2.46) days, the incidence of adverse events was 0.00%.Those figures were significantly lower than 2.00%, (16.69 ±4.56) days, (38527.48 ±659.54) RMB, 15.79% and (12.47 ±3.13) days for the control group (t=5.266, 85.836, 5.045, respectively;P〈0.05).Conclusions Nursing interventions under the guidance of 6s management model can reduce the complications , re-intubation rate and the incidence of adverse events .It also decrease the hospitalization time in ICU and expenses of hospitalization in ICU , and reduce invasive ventilation time and improve the prognosis of patients .
