Observation on the effect of continuous nursing intervention on improving the quality of life of elderly patients with lower extremity arterial disease

Objective To observe the effect of continuous nursing intervention on improving the quality of life of elderly patients with lower extremity arterial disease. Methods Elderly patients with lower extremity arterial disease treated in our hospital from October 2013 to October 2015 were selected as the observation object, and were divided into the intervention group and control group according to the random number table method, 50 cases in each group.The control group was given the routine nursing, while the intervention group was given the continuous nursing intervention.The differences in terms of pain, mental state and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results There was no significant difference in terms of VAS scores of the two groups before the intervention, and the VAS scores of the two groups were both lower than that before the intervention, and the VAS scores of the intervention group was decreased more significantly(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in terms of SAS and SDS scores between the two groups before the intervention.The SAS and SDS scores of the two groups were both lower than that before the intervention, and the SAS and SDS scores of the the intervention group was decreased more significantly(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in terms of quality of life of the two groups before the intervention.The scores of quality of life of the two groups were both higher than that before treatment, and the scores of quality of life of the intervention group was significantly higher(P<0.05). Conclusion The continuous nursing intervention can improve the psychological status and improve the quality of life of elderly patients with lower extremity arterial disease.
