UAV Direction Estimation Based on Spatial Smoothing Technology

Due to the frequency of UAVs signals are relatively close, when multiple UAVs signals are received by antenna array, the signals are considered as coherent sources. However, the classical UAV monitoring system miss the direction of coherent signals. This paper presents an improved weighted spatial smoothing MUSIC algorithm for UAV monitoring system to estimate the DOA. The simulations verify the performance of the algorithm in UAV monitoring system.
