In the process of hardware Trojan detection, the most popular method is side channel analysis. However, it is easily affected by process deviation, which usually leads to the unsatisfactory detection results of hardware Trojans. Therefore, due to the negative impacts caused by process deviation, a method that enables calibrating process deviation is presented in this paper. In this method, the ring oscillator network is employed to calibrate process deviation which is very sensitive to process deviation. The corresponding test chips were designed and fabricated. With the combination of test chips and Hspice simulation model, and under a series of data analysis and processing, the impact of process deviation can be reduced from 15.1% to 4.4% by eliminating the effect of the inter-chip process deviation.
