Improved genetic algorithm and its application in distribution network

Genetic algorithm is a kind of optimization method based on the theoretical research of natural evolution system. It has some very good advantages. However, the local search ability of the genetic algorithm is not strong, even if it can quickly reach the vicinity of the optimal solution, which relies on strong local convergence .but it takes a long time to search for the optimal solution. In order to avoid this phenomenon, an effective method is to adopt a hybrid strategy. That is to say, a fast convergence local optimization algorithm is introduced in the process of genetic evolution to form a hybrid genetic algorithm. This paper will study the combination of genetic algorithm and complex method, which is called improved genetic algorithm.
