The improved Harris hawk optimization algorithm with the Tent map

The hawks are proved to be amongst the most intelligent birds in nature based on their observed innovations in feeding behaviors. Their behaviors in hunting for the rabbit in swarms are modeled mathematically, and a novel Harris hawk optimization (HHO) algorithm is proposed recently. This paper reports the improved HHO algorithm based on the Tent map and simulation experiments are done. Results show that the Tent map is capable of improving the capabilities of the HHO algorithm based on their applications in solving the benchmark functions, according to a series of simple experiments on the fast convergence ratios.
