The emergence of software-defined networking (SDN) provides a new idea to break through the performance bottleneck of airborne network in the context of aviation swarm warfare. In order to overcome the problems of network updates in airborne network of aviation swarm, we propose a reliability enhanced two phase commit network updates strategy (RE-TPC), which is suitable for airborne network of aviation swarm under software-defined architecture. Firstly, the searching of high reliability paths are realized by designing the highest reliability algorithm and multi-paths algorithm. Then, ACK message-based confirmation mechanism is introduced to further improve the reliability, correctness and real-time performance of the network updates process. The simulation results show that, compared with the existing traditional network updates strategies, the updates strategy proposed in this paper not only effectively improves the reliability of network updates, but also reduces the duration.
