This Chapter focuses on screening methods that are built upon associations with some post-hoc adjustment for multiple comparisons. Most commonly used screening approaches built upon associations are through regressions. Two directions of development in the field of screening are discussed in this Chapter with one mainly relying on training and testing data using the concept of cross validation, and the other approach using correlations.
