Building the Virtual Stage: A System for Enabling Mixed Reality Theatre

In this work, we present an infrastructure for enabling live theatrical productions that make use of virtual stage elements viewed using augmented reality devices. We present challenges that guided the design of the system and illustrate use of the framework through examples from live productions that utilize our prototype implementation.
