A smart system for preventing people with dementia from falling from the chair

This paper presents a smart system that automatically analyzes postures of a person in the chair, estimates the risk of falling and warns both the person and his caregiver when the risk of falling is high. Unlike related designs, the system is inexpensive, robust and operates in real-time.
