Design and Realization of SPI Driver Based on VxWorks

The Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) bus has been widely used in the interface between MPU, controller and other devices such as CPU and external flash memories and so on. As an embedded operation system, VxWorks designed by Wind River Inc. has a significant market in embedded fields. In this paper, the SPI master controller driver is designed based on VxWorks. And, a SPI FLASH chip named as MX25L8006 was taken as a specific example and the design flow of SPI device driver was detailed.
