General information 1.1 Scope 1.1.1This handbook specifies the technical requirements and provides guidance for the accreditation of laboratories under the NVLAP CST LAP.It supplements the NVLAP procedures and general requirements found in NIST Handbook 150 and ISO/IEC 17025, by tailoring the general criteria found in NIST Handbook 150 and ISO/IEC 17025 to the specific types of tests covered by the CST LAP. 1.1.2This handbook is intended for information and use by all accredited CST laboratories, assessor(s) conducting on-site assessments, laboratories seeking accreditation, other laboratory accreditation systems, users of laboratory services, and others needing information on the requirements for accreditation under the CST LAP.
