Hannah Sofian, Joel Chia Ming Than, Suraya Mohamad, Norliza Mohd Noor · 2019

In this study, we detect the calcification in the coronary artery calcification using deep learning models. Cardiovascular disease is the leading of Non-Communicable Disease that contributes 31% of the Non-Communicable Disease such as coronary artery disease. The presence of the calcification will not allow the catheter to make any measurement such as diameter and area for lumen. We used deep learning models methods together with the classifiers to detect the presence and absence of the calcification in the coronary artery disease. For the validation, we compared the performance results with the ground truth provided. The performance measure results such as accuracy, sensitivity, sensitivity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value show the excellence results.
