The use of image processing methods is a data analysis tool. This tool makes it possible to perform analysis and get additional information. Image analysis is used to study biomedical data. Among such data, we have chosen images of cytological preparations. Image analysis of cytological preparations makes it possible to diagnose diseases in the early stages of their development. To study the images of cytological preparations, you can use various methods of image analysis. We consider the ideology of wavelets and morphological operations to identify images of cellular structures of cytological preparations. These methods are selected based on consideration of the features of cytological preparations images. We also take into account that images of cytological preparations are generally color images. The results are shown on the example of images of cytological preparations, where megaloblastic anemia cells are also present.
