Robot that Expresses Human Pains by Deformations

Yuki Kubota, Fumihide Tanaka · 2020

It is not always easy for humans to understand the pain of others. Therefore, having an effective method to express and explain their pain to others is valuable. In this study, we attempt to create a robot that is capable of expressing human pains by its deformations. The user of the robot is able to edit those deformations manually by his/her hand, and the robot is capable of recording the deformation processes for replays. In this late-breaking report, we describe the basic requirements of this robot and its early prototype.
