Ship Tracking with Static Electric Field Based on Kalman-Type Filters

Static Electric Field (SE) of ship has obvious distribution characteristics, and contains location information, which can be used to track the ship. The paper studies the feasibility to track ship using SE signal. First The state space model of ship motion is established; Ship SE signal is built by point current method? Linearly constraint is added to the state variables. The advantages and disadvantages of the classical Kalman filters in electric field tracking are compared by simulation. Simulation demonstrates the feasibility of tracking ship through using SE signal and the applicability of the traditional Kalman filters.
