A Mongrel Technique for the Reducation of Sidelobes in OFDM – Based Cognitive Radio System

The Aim of this paper is to reduce the out of band radiation (OOB), one of the most critical problem of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based cognitive radio system. This reduction in OOB, results in a high spectral efficiency and a successful coexistence of licensed and un-licensed users in a spectrum sharing scenario. In this paper, we recommend a mongrel technique that coalesce the features of Genetic Algorithm based Cancellation carriers and Eigenspace based generalized sidelobe canceler. The efficiency of the recommended technique is shown using MATLAB simulation and compared with the latest techniques in the literature.
