A Survey on Ad-hoc Cloud Computing Challenges

Ahmed A. Mawgoud · 2020

Ad hoc cloud model is an operative method to harness the underused computing resources in any establishment to implement an elastic infrastructure and improve resources utilization. Most of the cloud computing systems are based on the data center model which are groups of machines that assigned to compile cloud infrastructure software. Ad hoc cloud model differs from the traditional data center model, as in data center model the resources are not auto-assigned to the cloud system during execution as well as the levels of the resources are not pre-defined. In this paper, a proposed survey is introduced to discuss the recent challenges of ad-hoc cloud computing through the last decade. The proposed solutions were designed to achieve the full functionality of the normal data center model; the evaluation was made through two different comparisons amongst thirty papers.
