The objective of this research is to evaluate the detection probability (audibility) of signals in octave bands. The experimental studies were carried out using the articulation tests method. In this research, tone signals were used as the test signals at geometric mean frequencies of the octave bands: 250, 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz. Then they were mixed with white noise (with signal-to-noise ratio ranging from -20 dB to 0 dB in 2 dB steps). The results of these experimental studies are the dependencies of detection probability (audibility) of signals for five octave bands (from the 2nd to the 6th) on the signal-to-noise ratio.
