TIME SERIES ANALYSIS: INTRODUCTION
Hoi K. Suen, Donald Ary · Psychology Press eBooks · 2014
An important, and somewhat troublesome, dimension in the analysis of behavioral observation data is the dimension of time. In chapters, 4, 5, and 6, we discussed extensively the relative importance of the time dimen sion for behavioral observation sampling and reliability assessment. The inclusion of the time dimension not only necessitates the consideration of sampling schemes and reliability assessment in terms of time, it also represents a troublesome dimension for statistical analysis. The consider ation of time is particularly important in single-subject behavioral studies, for which the time dimension is frequently the only source of data variation.
