Identity plays an important role in blockchain networks, both permissioned and permissionless. Enterprise applications built on permissioned blockchains, associate access control and privileges with user, organization and blockchain node identities. The identity, backed by cryptographic keys is thus important to safeguard one's data as well as for the sanctity of the network. Securing the keys without trusting and delegating key management to another is critical to extend the trust paradigm all the way to the end-user. In this paper, we present a secure software wallet which resides on the user's mobile device and using which one participates in the blockchain network. We demonstrate the use of the software wallet in a Hyperledger Fabric network and especially in conjunction with the transaction flow of Hyperledger Fabric. We show that software wallets can be seamlessly incorporated into enterprise applications to extend the security and enable the end-users to manage their identities.
