The proliferation of multimedia applications had led to explosively increasing multimedia traffic over wireless networks. To tackle such an explosive traffic load, caching contents at the edge of the network has been envisioned as a practical solution since it eliminates unnecessarily repeated transmission through backhaul links. In this paper, we propose a caching placement scheme to determine the number of cached chunks at the local base station (BS), which are nearest to users. The objective is to minimize the average stalling time of all users in the system concerning strict constraints of storage size of BSs and the delay tolerance defined by requesting users. We formulate the problem and propose a practical solution that outperforms the random caching scheme.
