Quantitative Performance Evaluation of PL PUF and RO PUF with ASIC Implementation
Yusuke Nozaki, Masaya Yoshikawa · 2019
Physical unclonable functions (PUFs) have attracted attention as authentication of IoT devices. For the practical application of PUFs, evaluation in several manufacturing processes is very important; however, pseudo linear feedback shift register (PL) PUF and ring oscillator (RO) PUF, which are typical PUFs, have not been evaluated on application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) with 180nm process. This study quantitatively evaluates performance of PL PUF and RO PUF with ASIC implementation. Experimental results showed that target PUFs had a good performance.
