Underdetermined Wideband DOA Estimation Based on Proximity Searching DCS-SOMP

Underdetermined wideband direction of arrival (DOA) estimation using sparse array is studied in this paper. The wideband array signal processing model based on difference coarray is deduced firstly and transformed into a distributed compressive sensing (DCS) problem through sparse representation. The DCS Simultaneous Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (DCS-SOMP) algorithm is modified from the perspective of proximity searching to improve estimation accuracy. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the modification and show that the proposed algorithm has significant advantage in computational complexity.
