Recent Advances and Applications of Keystroke Dynamics

Kirty Shekhawat, Devershi Pallavi Bhatt · 2019

The increasing number of security risks has led to development of biometric security frameworks especially behavioral biometrics. Behavioral biometrics is used for surveillance purposes as well. Keystroke Dynamics is a type of behavioral biometrics which identifies operators by their typing patterns. Presently keystroke dynamics can be easily implemented as it does not require special hardware. It is an evolving research field and is also used in soft biometrics and emotion recognition. The core purpose of this paper is to present the state of art of keystroke dynamics to fellow researchers and to guide them towards future research direction in this area.
