Properties of Threshold Coupled Chaotic Neuronal Maps.

Manish Dev Shrimali · 2009

We study coupled chaotic neuronal maps. Chaos in chaotic neuronal maps is controlled by threshold activated coupling and the system yields synchronized temporally periodic states. A threshold is applied to all sites of a lattice and excess is transferred to other sites at varying degree of: relaxation time, dynamical updating, and connection topology. In each different realization, a transition from spatiotemporal chaos to ordered state is obtained. We also propose a scheme to obtain dynamical logic cell, using a threshold coupled chaotic neuronal drive–response systems. The study of threshold coupled chaotic dynamical systems suggest its potential application in computation and information processing.
