The article explores the provisions of the Directive (EU) 2019/790 on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market and the question of the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to its provisions. It highlights importance of the Directive provisions for the development of national law on fair compensation to authors and performers for the use of works and performances.
