Multi-Objective Evolutionary Evidential C-Means Clustering

This paper aims to propose a Multi-objective approach to Evolutionary Evidential C-Mean (MOE2CM) clustering method with underlying evolution strategy called NSGA-II. Two objective functions that respectively control the compactness and separation of a creedal partition are simultaneously optimized. The resultant set contains a number of non-dominated solutions, which the decision maker can pick up the most promising one according to the problem requirements. Results demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed technique are provided for a numeric and a real world dataset.
