Digital Forensic Analysis of Facebook App in Virtual Environment

Facebook is the most popular social media app which is used worldwide to connect people, groups, societies and friends. While the innumerable benefits justify its popularity, it is also used by cyber criminals to harass women and children and spread social disharmony. The app stores lot of information which can help in reconstructing the sequence of crime. Towards this, the research does an in-depth analysis of the Facebook app on the latest android version of a virtual phone. The concept of virtual android phone using genymotion emulator is used to bring out the various artifacts stored by Facebook app which can be produced as crucial evidence in the Court of Law.
