Jaspreet Chawla, Anil Ahlawat, Gunjan Goswami · International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development · 2019

A web service Interoperability issues arise mainly due to semantic and syntactic levels. Syntactic level comprises standards for data type definition, parameter passing during operations and incompatible data formats while passing messages between services. Semantic level comprises data and data formats should be meaningful and precise when passing to other application. Guidelines have been defined by Web Service Interoperability Organization (WS-I) basic profile version 1.1/2.0 to reduce interoperability issues at a complex level and remove at an elementary level. But after so many years it has achieved success to a limited extent. Therefore, in this paper, a framework of web services with a multiagent system is proposed that would be helpful in minimizing the interoperability issues between two platforms JAVA and.NET. The framework includes a JADE gateway agent to reduce interoperability issues.
