Experiments on Malayalam Language using Graph-based Data-driven Dependency Parser

The Malayalam language possesses characteristics like morphological richness and agglutination, which makes the processing of language a tiresome task. The resources like treebank allow the syntactic-semantic analysis of Malayalam. In this work, the validation and optimization of Malayalam Treebank Data_ Iiithwere done with various parsing settings. The improvement in the values of qualitative analysis metrics was the main result of the optimization experiments. 10-cross-validation of the data was also performed for the analysis of the attainment of models generated. The results were found to be promising.
