The objective of this study was to construct a non-contact technique for measuring blood pressure (BP) In our previous study, a model for estimating BP by applying independent component analysis to facial skin temperature, was cobstructed. This study, however, had not considered time variations of facial skin temperature. It is assumed that there is a relationship between facial skin temperature and blood flow over time, as blood is able to produce heat. It is expected, therefore, that the accuracy of the BP estimation model can be improved by not only using the distribution of the facial skin temperature but also its time variation, which is dependent on blood flow. In this study, a model was constructed for estimating BP using independent components of facial skin temperature and considering the time variation of skin temperature. As a result, the accuracy of the new model was better than existing one.
