Distributed System is a grid of independent computers which share different resources and capabilities with the use of a distribution middleware software [1]. Cloud computing offers customers to scale in and scale up their applications in an effective manner by building their own clusters in distributed systems [2]. A distributed system can offer parallel execution of processes and sufficient utilization of all resources at once. The use of distributed systems in e-governance can help in overall cost reduction, greater availability, and higher flexibility of the system. For a system to perform efficiently, it is very important for the distributed system architecture to be reliable, extensible and scalable to adapt the changing environments and load. This paper tries to detail different types of techniques and implementation of client-server architecture in which the distributed system can be implemented for better performance and efficiency of the system.
