3D Smith Chart's Extensions and Expanding

Some extensions on the 3D Smith Chart are made: constant reflection coefficient magnitude and phase circles, normalized impedance magnitude and phase (quality factor) circles, stability circles, unilateral power gain circles, operating and available power gain circles and noise figure circles. To make an actual 3D Smith Chart, a method of expanding the 3D surface to a 2D one is proposed based on the theory of spherical surface expanding. Pasting the printed expanded curves to a ball, the 3D Smith in reality is done. The method of making the actual 3D Smith Chart is easy, fast and low cost and can be used in teaching and designing conveniently.
