The performance of Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communication systems are limited by rich scattering and fast fading environment. In such channels, since both the transmitting and receiving are at low elevation, the conventional channel models (F2M) do not model the communication scenario efficiently. Also, single and double bounced components dominate in the received signal. Geometry based scattering models are found to be more accurate in V2V scenario. Active-user cooperation scheme is a cooperative diversity scheme, and is used to improve the QoS performance in wireless communication. In this paper, we present an active-user cooperation scheme for V2V communication based on 3D GBSM channel model. Expressions for achievable-rates have been produced.
