Time Series Analysis ( ARIMA , Spectral Analysis)
C. Arthur VanLear · The International Encyclopedia of Interpersonal Communication · 2015
Abstract Time series analysis (TSA) is a family of statistical analysis techniques that are used to analyze data consisting of a series of observations/measurements organized over time. There are two types of TSAs: time domain and frequency domain. ARIMA analysis is the most popular time domain analysis and Fourier/spectral analysis is the most popular frequency domain TSA. These two types of analyses are explained and examples of their use in interpersonal communication are given.
