Constructing a Large-Scale Data Center Network Structure Using Regular Graphs

Guannan Qu, Wentao Chen · 2019

With the rapid growth of the amount of data which have to be stored and processed, the scalability of data center network attracts attentions recent years. Traditional treeshape network structures are far from meeting the scalability requirements. DCell and its construction principle provided an innovated way of building large scale data center network structure. This paper borrows the iterative construction principle of DCell. Different to DCell who is built using complete graph, we use regular graphs as the basic graphs to construct a more scalable structure. The structure definition, naming method and connecting rules are given in this paper, and we also discuss the scale and diameter with different parameters.
